This part of an FBI file holds a July 1967 letter sent to Director J. Edgar Hoover by a reporter for UFO Contact, the journal of the International Get Acquainted Program (IGAP), along with a copy of the magazine, dedicated to George Adamski. The magazine includes an editorial praising Adamski, an open letter to Queen Juliana of the Netherlands, and Ronald Caswell's account of contactee Fred Steckling's European lecture tour and his film of a UFO formation. The file also contains AFSCA newsletter items and an advertisement for AFSCA's 1966 Reno convention.

Calling success.
About two years ago or so I wrote to you and asked you, to the best of my recollection, why agents of you Bureau investigated reported landings of unidentified flying objects and whether data referring their findings was available. You replied saying that agents investigated these cases to determine whether env Federal law had been broken and that their findings were confidential as were all other FBI records.
Since receiving your letter which was placed in my records, many of my records including your letter were destroyed recently in a fire at my home and I would therefore be grateful if, for the purposes of my new records, confirm your letter of 1964/5 if the situation is still the same.
