Federal Bureau of Investigation · 77 pages · text by OCR

This part of an FBI file holds a July 1967 letter sent to Director J. Edgar Hoover by a reporter for UFO Contact, the journal of the International Get Acquainted Program (IGAP), along with a copy of the magazine, dedicated to George Adamski. The magazine includes an editorial praising Adamski, an open letter to Queen Juliana of the Netherlands, and Ronald Caswell's account of contactee Fred Steckling's European lecture tour and his film of a UFO formation. The file also contains AFSCA newsletter items and an advertisement for AFSCA's 1966 Reno convention.

Sir I mention the above so that you will not think an idiot is writing.

You seemingly do not know or utterly disregard the followin subject. I had hoped that you might make a statement before now on this subject. I have waited many years to see your opinion in print, but nothing of the sort has happened.

I am speaking of the LFO's or unidentified flying objects before long and it is a matter of time you are going to be scooped so to speak on this subject. Sir I happen to know they exist . I have personally seen two of them. One of these sightings under low cloud cover in daylight. (I am not sure as to the cloud height). The other at prehaps two thousand feet altitude and eppx. one mile off.

You may not be interested ? But I think this may be vital to the security of the United States and if it is vital I am sure that you are now familiar with and working on this problem.

If I am correct one these things do land I am greatly con- cerned as to that kind of reception they might receive from the inhabitance of this country. I am convinced after a great use of thought that someone of your standing in this country should let the people know that is happening as regards these things.
