This FBI file release, Part 14 of the Bureau's UFO file, collects correspondence and memoranda from 1960 to 1968. Much of it concerns Joseph Perry of Grand Blanc, Michigan, whose moon photograph appeared to show a saucer-like object. The FBI passed the slides to Air Force OSI at Selfridge AFB and said repeatedly that it was not investigating. The file also covers a Denver lecture about space people, an anonymous Dallas informant, a NICAP subcommittee, and form replies stating that UFOs fall outside FBI jurisdiction.

Wannall DATE: 8/22/74 TSS SUBJECT: MILITARY INQUIRY REGARDING UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT THAT FELL FROM SKY AT MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN 8/21/74; INFORMATION CONCERNING --- At 12:07 a.m., 8/22/74, Security Patrol Clerk (SPC) Intelligence Division received a call via Command Center telephone from a Major NNCC (National Military Command Center). Major asked for any information the FBI might have concerning a report that an unidentified object which fell from the sky at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, had been recovered by local police and turned over to the Milwaukee Office of the FBI. No information available at Intelligence Division, Night Duty Supervisor, called SPC Milwaukee Office, who advised an unidentified object had been recovered by at about 5:55 p.m., 8/21/74, but that it was still in possession of He said a Milwaukee FBI Office to report the recovery. Very little was known about the object which was described as about 13 x 8 x 5 inches, metallic in substance and color, jagged on one side and had an "internal heat source." Notified military locally. Above information was relayed to Major with suggestion he might like to contact Captain Milwaukee Police Department.
