This FBI file release, Part 14 of the Bureau's UFO file, collects correspondence and memoranda from 1960 to 1968. Much of it concerns Joseph Perry of Grand Blanc, Michigan, whose moon photograph appeared to show a saucer-like object. The FBI passed the slides to Air Force OSI at Selfridge AFB and said repeatedly that it was not investigating. The file also covers a Denver lecture about space people, an anonymous Dallas informant, a NICAP subcommittee, and form replies stating that UFOs fall outside FBI jurisdiction.

The reason I am writing you is because I have learned recently that a researcher of the flying saucer mystery said the FBI is involved in this affair. A civilian investigating agency was formed in Bridgeport, Conn., in 1952, to look into the flying saucer mystery by He called the organization And, during his study of the saucer mystery ran across something important. This information was evidently the solution to the mystery for in 1955 stated bluntly, "I knew what the saucers are." Then, "three men in black suits" silenced him. And, I am also extremely interested in this "menace." I have some very important information concerning this "dreadful underground monster" that I would like to discuss with very much. For the story concerning this "monster" is certainly a "hellish Horror" one, which reveals a fantastic situation, so fantastic, that it would be hardly conceivable by the public. Yes indeed, I would appreciate it very much if you could help me get in touch with I have also been getting information regarding "certain" ship tragedies that have occurred on the high seas for a very long time, and "certain" aircraft accidents and disappearances. For these tragedies reveal evidence that gives proof that such a "monaco" really "exists." I certainly will be looking forward in hearing from you.
