This FBI file release, Part 14 of the Bureau's UFO file, collects correspondence and memoranda from 1960 to 1968. Much of it concerns Joseph Perry of Grand Blanc, Michigan, whose moon photograph appeared to show a saucer-like object. The FBI passed the slides to Air Force OSI at Selfridge AFB and said repeatedly that it was not investigating. The file also covers a Denver lecture about space people, an anonymous Dallas informant, a NICAP subcommittee, and form replies stating that UFOs fall outside FBI jurisdiction.

# Grand Blanc Man Makes Plea to Ike Film of Flying Saucer Up in Air By Allan B. Wilhelm By Allan R. Wilhelm The scene is a very good address on Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington. D. C. The time is late last week. A balding gentleman of distinguished bearing picks up a letter, blinks a few times in obvious astonishment and then pushes the button on his intercom. "Get hold of White (Gen. Thomas D., Air Force chief of staff) and Hoover (J. Edgar, FBI chief) and tell them to give Joe Perry back his flying saucer," he orders. If such a scene did not take place, it's not because a Grand Blanc Township pizza merchant didn't write the letter. He did. ## 111 It all started because Perry, operator of Perry's Pizza Grill, 3079 Edward St., likes to take pictures of the moon through his big homemade telescope. Because he usually doesn't open until well after the sun is set, he does most of his celestial sight-seeing between pizzas. A color shot he took about 1 A. M. on a cold night last month caused him no end of consternation. Looming against the full moon on the slide was a "saucer-like" object. Perry showed the slide to a number of his patrons. When they saw it projected on a screen he has built into the wall of his grill, he said, most of them agreed that it looked like a flying saucer or what most folks think a flying saucer looks like.
