This FBI file release, Part 14 of the Bureau's UFO file, collects correspondence and memoranda from 1960 to 1968. Much of it concerns Joseph Perry of Grand Blanc, Michigan, whose moon photograph appeared to show a saucer-like object. The FBI passed the slides to Air Force OSI at Selfridge AFB and said repeatedly that it was not investigating. The file also covers a Denver lecture about space people, an anonymous Dallas informant, a NICAP subcommittee, and form replies stating that UFOs fall outside FBI jurisdiction.

UNITED STATES GO RNMENT Memorandum W. V. Cleveland DATE: 5/16/69 --stated he is a former CIA Agent and wanted to report to the Director that recently he has been seeing flying/objects. He requested that the Director call him on 5/16/69 concerning this matter. He was advised that Mr. Hoover would be unavailable. ## SUBJECT: Compton, California Telephone No. INFORMATION CONCERNING Mr. telephonically contacted the Bureau at 12:50 a.m. 5/16/69 and spoke with SA Special Investigative Division. $$ \leq 2 u c r 1 $$ From tone of voice it appeared he was intoxicated. He advised that he was recently discharged as a patient from the psycho ward of a Veteran's hospital. Information in Bureau indices (66-3182-8679) indicates individual possibly identical with captioned subject called Bureau 5/1/69, at which time he rambled about numerous subjects and his speech indicated he had been drinking. At that time no record identifiable with was located in Bureau files. ACTION: For information. A check is being made with CIA to determine if they have a former agent identical with 1 - Miss Holmes 1 - Mr. DeLoach 1 - Mr. Bishop 1 - Mr. Gale 1 - Mr. Cleveland 1 - Mr. 62-83194-47= * Liaison Agent caused complete search of CIA indices regarding with negative results.
