This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section collects 1954 to 1961 correspondence and memoranda about flying saucers. Most of it concerns the Detroit Flying Saucer Club, which the Detroit office reported on from informants and chose not to investigate, while Bureau headquarters said saucer matters belonged to the Air Force. It also includes public letters to J. Edgar Hoover, a 1955 North Carolina sighting report, Leonard Stringfield's 1961 anonymous warning call, and policy reviews that restate the practice of referring reports to the Air Force.

Enclosed with this letter is a sheet of condensed facts concerning two supposed visitors from outer space, which is taken from Harold T. Wilkins book Flying Saucers On The Attack." Since the F. B. I. was reportedly involved in the investigation I would like to know if the story concerning the supposed visit is true, a possibility, or just plain science fiction. N the story is true and/or if the F. B. I. has a report on this case in its files, I would appreciate a copy of that report. If it is impossible to forward me a complete copy of the report please send a summary of the report. I realize this story sounds fantastic but I would appreciate a reply, since it is actually suppose to have occurred.
