This FBI file section contains a 20 January 1953 letter from the Johnson County, Indiana civil defense office asking J. Edgar Hoover whether the International Flying Saucer Bureau was subversive, with an enclosed issue of its bulletin Space Review. It also holds 1956 FBI memoranda and letters to Air Force investigators on a Van Nuys landing claim, a bright light seen from Oxford, Pennsylvania, and a low spinning object seen near Henderson, North Carolina. In each case the FBI took no action.

For the additional information of the Bureau, there is being transmitted herewith one copy each of the following which were made available to me by who is a member of the captioned organization:

1. Mimeographed letter consisting of four pages addressed to His Excellency, The President of the United States.

2. Mimeographed announcement consisting of three pages entitled "For Information of the Public and the Sake of the Record A Synopsis of Important Data".
