This FBI file section contains a 20 January 1953 letter from the Johnson County, Indiana civil defense office asking J. Edgar Hoover whether the International Flying Saucer Bureau was subversive, with an enclosed issue of its bulletin Space Review. It also holds 1956 FBI memoranda and letters to Air Force investigators on a Van Nuys landing claim, a bright light seen from Oxford, Pennsylvania, and a low spinning object seen near Henderson, North Carolina. In each case the FBI took no action.

Neither of us retired anything unusual at the time, and I think that if this "not" on the register and picture, would be a thing of reality, we should certainly have noticed it. If we would now hear anything about "things" and "objects", we would not send this to you, beyond a doubt, but what looks like a spot could be some thing different. Better note those new.
