This FBI file section contains a 20 January 1953 letter from the Johnson County, Indiana civil defense office asking J. Edgar Hoover whether the International Flying Saucer Bureau was subversive, with an enclosed issue of its bulletin Space Review. It also holds 1956 FBI memoranda and letters to Air Force investigators on a Van Nuys landing claim, a bright light seen from Oxford, Pennsylvania, and a low spinning object seen near Henderson, North Carolina. In each case the FBI took no action.

Subjects THE A.P.R.O. BULLETIN 1712 VAN COURT ALAMOGORDO, NFW MEXICO MISCELLANEOUS - INFORMATION CO. CERNING

On August 31, 1956, Street, St. Louis, Missouri, who is employed as an electrician, furnished the St. Louis Office of this Bureau with information that he and a group of his fellow workers have subscribed to a publication cautioned "The A.P.R.O. Bulletin," which contains articles about flying saucers. advised he answered an advertisement in a magazine and subscribed to this publication for one year, at a cost of $3.00. further advised that in his opinion, the publication alurred and criticized the U. S. Air Force and official of the U. S. Air Force.

No action is contemplated in this matter by this

Bureau.
