This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section compiles 1950 to 1952 reports of unidentified aerial objects shared with the FBI. Most of it is an Air Force OSI investigation, dated May 12, 1952, into Donald Stewart's claim that a disc hovered over his car on Ritchie Highway near Baltimore. His companion George Tyler III later admitted he saw nothing. The file also covers disks seen at the Savannah River Plant, radar and visual sightings over Oak Ridge, a Fairbanks, Alaska jet pilot report, and an Ashland, Kentucky sighting.

## STATEMENT Following is a report of the sighting of an unidentified object in the Oak Ridge Area by the undersigned. On the morning of 18 December 1950, the following personnel were riding to their work at NEPA Division, Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corp., in the S-50 Area at Oak Ridge, Tennessee: At approximately 0827, while riding southwest on the turnpike just outside the restricted area, sighted a very bright reflection through the windshield of the car. who was ing beside and whose attention was attracted by looking at the sky, sighted the same reflection. called the attention of the remaining occupants of the car to the reflection. Of these, also sighted the reflection, but did not sight it. The object appeared only as the bright reflection of the sun from an apparently metal surface, much as might be expected from an aircraft at a great distance. No accurate estimate of the objects size or range could be made from the observation. It appeared to be west-southwest of Oak Ridge Townsite at an angle of elevation of about 25 degrees from the level.
