This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section compiles 1950 to 1952 reports of unidentified aerial objects shared with the FBI. Most of it is an Air Force OSI investigation, dated May 12, 1952, into Donald Stewart's claim that a disc hovered over his car on Ritchie Highway near Baltimore. His companion George Tyler III later admitted he saw nothing. The file also covers disks seen at the Savannah River Plant, radar and visual sightings over Oak Ridge, a Fairbanks, Alaska jet pilot report, and an Ashland, Kentucky sighting.

Office Memorandum • UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT DATE: 4-3-52 TO Director, FHI FROM SAC, Memphis (62-0). SUBJECT: UNKNOWN SUBJECT; Flying Objects, Nashville, Tennessee INFORMATION CONCERNING Of living discs Lt. Commander U. S. Navy, temporarily residing at Nashville, Tennessee, advised SAA of the Nashville Resident Agency on March 14, 1952, at approximately 2:15 p.m. of the following incident. Mr. stated that approximately 10:20 p.m. on March 13, 1952, while standing in the back yard of 1900 Graybar Lane and looking toward the moon, which was then in the southwest section of the sky, he observed an object which appeared approximately 20 degrees above the horizon. It described this object as being circular in shape, approximately one-half the size of the moon, deep bright blue in color, very vivid blue. He stated the object had a slight reddish fringe on the aft end. The object appeared to be moving from the northwest to the southeast. He stated that the object was not in his vision more than three seconds. It made no sound. It stated that at the time he observed this, there were no clouds in the sky, the stars were out, and the moon was full. It stated that the only way he could describe it was that it appeared to be a very high powered spotlight on a cloud, but he did not believe this could have been the cause of that which he had seen because he had not seen any spotlight or any strong search lights there during the evening.
