This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section collects 1947 to 1949 correspondence, memoranda and newspaper clippings about flying disc reports. It includes Hoover's replies to citizens, a Maine woman's account of a drifting object judged probably a weather balloon, a Richmond memo on a cigar-shaped object seen over Radford, Virginia on May 12, 1949, clippings on the Chiles and Whitted sighting near Montgomery, a Flyin' Saucer toy promotion, and agent interviews with witnesses in Vermont and a pilot near Bethel, Alaska.

I ever sir: Let this for what you think it is worth, but I keep thinking it may be able to throw a light on the so called Slaying Sauces, I do not know how true this is, but as our own Army says it has nothing to do concerning these Sauces appearing in the Stories, I aim to tell you what a certain woman told me of a supposed secret aircraft hide out and factory that is in or under mountains near Mexico city Mexico. This young woman is married a Mexican radio musician. There, who seems to be one of a special few who were allowed to visit this place in the mountains. She said that these aircraft was made of some Metacite material that could not be muzzled in the air only as an almost invisible form. She see the "passengers or pilot nature, covered see out, but lookers on could not see inside that close up-They (the craft) 12 MAY 13 1949 glass. And that-They were preparing them for special reason against the U.S.
