FBI file: UFO, UFO Part 04

Federal Bureau of Investigation · 77 pages · text by OCR

This Federal Bureau of Investigation file section collects 1947 records on flying disc reports, including field office memoranda from Butte, Seattle, Salt Lake City and San Francisco on sightings in Washington, Montana, Utah and Idaho. Several were attributed to burnt paper or weather balloons, and Wright Field judged debris from a Danford, Illinois farm a hoax unconnected to Project Mogul. After the Army Air Forces described FBI work as chasing "ash can covers, toilet seats and whatnot," the Bureau discontinued its flying disc investigations and referred reports to the Air Forces.

they were just a black thin line and when they flipped was the only to I could got a judgment as to their size.

These objects were holding in all out constant observation; they did not need to be going up to be a fire hazard, such as would be one of rockets or artillery shells. I am convinced in your opinion that they were some type of airplane, even though they did not conform with the many aspects of the conventional type of planes that I know.

through the United States, there have been in or even other accounts written by some of these observers that I can and still say have observed the same thing that I did; particularly, the descriptions of the three Eastern Air Lines employees of Cedar City, Utah, the pilot from Oklahoma City, the locomotive engineer in Illinois, Dr. United Press correspondent of Denver, Idaho, the Boise Daily Statesman, Captain Pilot 67c

of United Air Lines both of them only last night, July 25, 1947, made their observation on United Air Lino flight 105 westbound out of Doha.

It is my opinion that descriptions could not be very accurate within the ground unless those similar to those of collars in giant height and there is a possibility that all of the people who observed here very difficult to the ground to observe the four ears of five seconds, and there is always the possibility of an epiphytic obstacle and that near the ground which could distort one's vision while air observers I would judge to be very accurate.

I have in my possession letters from all over the United States and Europe from 1840 to 1843. These have been a source of information pertaining to the world, particularly London, Donny, and I
