This FBI file, released by The Black Vault, collects July 1947 Bureau memoranda, teletypes and newspaper clippings about flying disc reports. The memos record a disc found in a Twin Falls, Idaho back yard, a hexagonal object recovered near Roswell that Eighth Air Force said looked like a weather balloon with a radar reflector, and hoax discs at Laurel, Maryland, Black River Falls, Wisconsin, and Shreveport, Louisiana. It also contains Father Brasky's circular saw disc from Grafton, Wisconsin, and Kenneth Arnold's statement about his sighting.

While they were discussing what !.!rs. had seen. approximately
ten minutes later all three SaYT ten similar objects proceeding rapidly in the '-7Csame direction in the fom of a triangle. As the group of objects 1mS dis- f)
ap~aring, three of the objects on the left fle.nk peeled off and proceeded in
a IO:)rs northerly direction. The remaining objects appeared to close ranks an~

Fron three to five minutes later thBse same individuals saw another
group of three objects proceeding in the same direction, and again in the shape

group in a triangular formation conSisting or five or six objects. They were
proceeding -..in the sam direction.
A few minutes later the three persons saTT a large group of' objects
eitillVlted at from thirty-five to fifty 1'lying in a triangular formation in the
s=e direction. Approximately t\'IOnty or twenty-rive minutes after the large
group of objeots was observed. similar objects were noted coming baok over the
city in a southwesterly direction. These objects Vlere generally in groups of

vals.

The three officers watched for a few minutes and observed a group of about lJ 7~
twelve objects flying in formation over the oity in a southwesterly direotion.
