This is an FBI FOIA release sent to John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault on September 16, 2020, under request 1474900-000. It contains 1964 Albuquerque field office teletypes, airtels and memoranda on Officer Lonnie Zamora's report of an oval object with a red insignia that rose with a roar and flame near Socorro, New Mexico, on April 24, 1964. Agent D. Arthur Byrnes Jr. noted four indentations and burned patches. Kirtland AFB officers said they could not explain Zamora's observations, and the FBI did not investigate.

HE NOTEDONERECTANGULAR,.V SHAPED INDENTATION IN GROUND, EIGHT BY TWELVE INCHES, AND ABOUT THREE TO FOUR INCHES DEEP. A FELLOW OFFICER, WHO WAS THERE EARLIER, POINTED TOPLACES@ OF THREE MORE INDENTATIONS, INDICATING THE INDENTATIONS WERE RECTANGULAR. CAPTAINI IFURTHER STATED HE ~SAW SEVERAL SMOOTH CIRCULAR PRINTS ON GROUND ABOUT THREE AND ONE HALF INCHES IN DIAMETER AT SITE. NO OTHER WITNESSES KNOWN TO HAVE OBSERVED THE.OBJECT.
