This FBI FOIA release, dated November 22, 2023 and obtained by John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault, is the second and final release on United Nuclear Scientific Supplies, LLC. The FBI reviewed 357 pages and released 56. The records include a 2012 Detroit interview at the company's Michigan warehouse about orders for nitric acid and potassium perchlorate, a 2006 Albuquerque WMD case over a suspicious call, grand jury subpoenas, and a 2008 to 2009 New York and Baltimore inquiry into an attempted purchase of Polonium-210.

In compliance with the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure,_____________________________________________________________ land | I | have been added to the New York Office 6(e) List with the Southern District of New York due to the investigative need tol ~~l obtained via Federal Grand Jury Subpoena in regards to New York will add as deemed necessary by WMDOU and Baltimore. b3 b6 b7C Details: On 08/25/2008, New York Office of an attempt to purchase a Polonium-210 Squad CT-22 was advised solution from United Nuclear Scientific Supplies (UNSS) as outlined in the above referenced serial. In that serial, also on 08/25/2008,1 IUNSS returned a ca11_ from a F lT.NU. I Ta New York registered b3 b6 b7C _______(LNU) claimed that he wanted to purchase c concentrated solution of Polonium-210. WhenI I asked he wanted the Polonium why replied that it was for a friend who needed it to detect counterfeit United States currency. _______| explained that one needed a Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license to posses this material. Tasked if there was "any way around the NRC reguirements. " 1 __ said that he did not know of any way around the NRC. _____ then asked if he could purchase any other Polonium-210 sources from UNSS and reduce them to a concentrated solution. I Itold| |that would not be possible. then terminated the call. b6 b7C expressed a belief that such a concentrated solution of Polonium-210 would not be useful for counterfeit currency detection, but would make a very effective poison. While the call was received within the Albuquerque Division, it was determined that the New York Office would open the investigation as the cellular telephone used to make the purchase was a New York registered area code. b3 b6 b7C UNCLASSIFIED 2
