This section of FBI file 62-HQ-83894 collects Bureau correspondence on flying saucers from 1957 to 1966. It includes a 1957 memo on the rise in UFO reports after Sputnik, in which the Air Force told the FBI that the recent sightings were nonauthentic. It also holds a Havana report of a disc over Matahambre, Cuba, and inquiries about Robert T. Stone's Inter Continental Aerial Research Foundation and a Torrington, Connecticut sighting. Hoover's replies state that UFOs were never within FBI jurisdiction.

have actually cauaed earthquakes. He said that the ott1c1ala
on earth are aware ot thie and thia waa the reason tor the
recent Qeo~aical Year 1n order to try to determine Just

eartli toward another polar tilt, Which will endanger all man
kind. He aaid that the apace people are prepared to evacuate
thoae earth people who have abided by the "Golden Rule 0 when
the polar tilt occurs, but will leave thereat to pariah.
He advised t~t the apace people have contacted
the otticiala on earth and have adv1aed them of their concem
but thia haa not been made public. He alao aa1d that the
radioactive tallout ha1 become extremely dahgerous and

own power they will not agree to make peace.
