Re Bureau letter to Office of Special Investiga
tions, Air Force, dated April 6, 1960, and Detroit airtel
to Bureau, dated 4/11/60.
On April 12, 1960, JOSEPH PERRY, 3079 Edwards
Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan, was personally contactea
at his home by SA ll'AYIDND E. MOOMEY and SA MARTIN A.
MC NERNEY.
He was advised that his letter to President
EISENHOWER dated March 21, 1959, had been referred to the
FBI by the Department of Justice and that the FBI was
acknowledging receipt of that letter.
Mr. PERRY was advised that the contents of his
letter had been carefully noted and that for his informa
tion the photographs he had voluntarily turned over to the
FBI had been immediately furnished to the Office of Special
Investigations, Department of the Air Force, Selfridge Air
Force Base, Mt. Clemens, Michigan; further, that the
Department of the Air Force had been furnished a copy of
his letter to the President.
Mr. PERRYvas advised that the FBI was taking no tL
investigative action in this matter and he said he was (
fully aware of the Bureau's policies in matters of this
nature.
Mr. PERRY expressed his appreciation for the
