nomer, Dr. Fred Hoyl e, speaks of the possibility
of »live« TV from outer space. And by »live« he
means people - outer space people, people who
may li ve on p lanets like ours on the other side of
the Milky Way. Hoyle thinks it's highly probable
that such planets and people do exist. So do a !ot
of other scientists .
»They think some of the radio waves hitting the
earth right now co ntain messages from those people
and there is some scie ntific effort under way to

waves , waves whic h wou ld also transmit pictures .

H ere, with all the arrogance of the self-opinion
ated, se lf-appointed judge, in words of ignorance,
mated with bigotry and begotten of an infl ated ego
tis m, we see a smal l section of that vociferous but
often influ en ti al Pres s opinion which always swa llo ws
before it chews .
Th e occas ion was the much-publicised , much-criti
cised aud ience of Queen Juliana of the Netherland s
accorded to one George Adamski of California,
U.S. A ., at II a. m. on May 18th 1959, at Soestdijk
Palace, near Utrecht, H olland.
Th e vociferous Press op ini on in this in stance was
of the Catholic People 's Party newspaper, " D ie
Vo lkskrant " .
We could imagine the same self-elevated j ourna
list writ ing: " We are not opposed to a court jester
in the private apartments at the Vatican, provid
ed - -", on anoth er May day, of another 11 a.m. au
dience, much more secret, of much more potenti al
sig nifi cance , four years later, when Adamski was
received at the bed-side of the dying Pope John .
Of the one audience, with a gracious First Lady,
the wor ld's sensation t ab loids went to town. Lacki ng
the meat of the occasion on which to feast their
readers they gave them the bo nes and the offal , and
in the process they soi led and besmirched their own
honourab le professi on.
The seco nd audience was spared this treatment,
and still is.
And so we can perceive how some of George
Ad amski 's meetings with the famous received th e
ful l bl ast of pub licity, whilst others, conducted in a
secret undercurrent of diplomacy peopled with silent
couriers and intercontinental briefings , are still , very
much , " classified " .
Ad amski was NEVER afra id of the scoffers and th e
critics , still le ss of the faceless spokesmen in autho
rity. With ene rgy which had to be see n to be be
lieved, with courage of conviction based in sure
knowledge of hi s own exper iences , and with fortitude
d istill ed from the sweet and the sour of his support
ers and hi s d et ractors , HE DIDN 'T GIVE A DA MN.
He could have written " pot-boilers " of space
fiction in his sunny California, like many of his cont
empora rie s, maki ng a fortune from the credu lou s.
This is shown by the fact t hat his books became
world best-sel lers in many languages. Yet in 12 years
he only offered TWO AND A HALF BOOKS to the
genera l public. Do es this seem like a man who is
" on the make?"
No. Instead he pushed and shoved hi s way into t he,
many times , inhospitab le c lim ate of " expert " analysis
and cli ni ca l dissection, saying: " H ere is my evid
ence, here is my story - TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT! "
AND HE DIED, DOIN G JUST THAT.
What kept him going for so lon g? What kept the
flame so bright for those 12-13 long , bitter-sweet
years? H is tremendous sense of humour? YES! Hi s
many thousands of friends and supporters the world
over? YES, THESE ALSO!
But his faith in a DIVINE INTELLIGENCE and sure
knowledge of the existence and the helpful presence
friends from other planets in space, we re t he Rod
of good, spiritually- and physically-healthy human
and the Staff on which he leaned, until he died .
G .A. ' s " end " was but a beginning. And when he
" graduated " others took over.
H e knew, in those last few months, that it wouldn 't
be long. Already he knew those who were going to
carry on his work . And the Brothers and t he Sisters,
those friends from across the seas of space, were
busy in their task of forging new links, reshaping
the pattern of their contacts with those close to
Adamski .
AS WI TH G EORG E ADAMS K I, the Brothers cont
inu e to furnish ev id ence of their presence in our
skies. New films , start lin g in their c larity, are being
provided by G.A.'s Co-workers. New accounts of
recent contact with the men and women visiting us
are evide nce of their conti nu ed interest in our we l
fare .
H ere, in this issue of UFO CONTACT, you will
see more photographic presentation of "Unidentified
Fl ying Obj ects " . In some strange fashion , by some
pec uliar " co-incidence", another of G.A. 's close
associates is enabled to take start lin g movie-fi lm
shots of objects in the sky. With this new evidence
we sha ll show, too , how Adamski 's successors are
STILL pushing the experts, STI LL offering for exam
inati on photographic proof of " inexplicable phenom
ena" in the skies above us.
Th ere are always those who are ready to jeer and
deride . This is a peculiar facet of the human psycho
logy which stems almost so lely from ignorance. Bu t ,
thank God, there are those also who , in the face of
public intolerance and apathy, are abl e to stand out
fro m the rest and say of the pioneer : " Give the man
his chance, let the man have his say".
As we have said a few words back, evidence is
stil l bei ng p1ovided of our extraterrestrial visitors '
presence on and above our planet. Th at this evid
ence remains a puzzle, - or gives the impression, at
least, of remaini ng a puzz le - to compete nt " ex
perts ", despite public pronouncements made by the
head of Proj ect Bl ue Book, the U.S.A.F.' s UFO
ag enc y, that UFO's are NOT fro m Outer Space,
