This FBI file section, serial 448 onward of 62-HQ-83894, gathers UFO correspondence from 1966 to 1977. It includes J. Edgar Hoover's reply to Florence C. Dow of Goffstown, New Hampshire, who had asked whether the Amalgamated Flying Saucer Clubs of America was backed by communists. Her enclosed July 1966 issue of the AFSCA journal is also in the file. Later items are a 1977 Air Force UFO fact sheet on the end of Project Blue Book and a White House inquiry, to which the FBI replied that it has no jurisdiction over UFO sightings.

OZAN NE On March 9 , 1973, Sergeant Paul Stigliano , United States Air Force, Recruiting Office , Professional Building , Waco , Texas , advised that a man identifying himself as Dave T . Ozanne contacted the night-shift supervisor at the Waco Tri bune Newspaper , and inquired regardin g any infor mation the newspaper could be able to furnish him concerning any unidentified flying objects observed in the Waco , Texas area . Ozanne had identified h i mself as a Captain in the United States Air Force . Ozanne was described as having on an Air Force uniform with a chaplain ' s badge on the uniform . Ozanne also had in h is possession at the time a folder marked Top Secret which contained pictures of various military i nstallations. No specific information concerning these photos could be provided by Sergeant Stig liano . Sergeant Stigliano stated that when Ozanne was informed that they could provide no information to him he left his card which contained his name and the following information: Address: 3911 Bowser , Apartment 209 , Dallas , Texas Phone: 526 - 5908 Sergeant Stigliano advised that the individual d i d not act in any strange manner , and did not attempt ~o obtain anything other than information from the newspape r . Sergeant Stigliano advised that thi s information was bein g furnished to the proper authorities only for information purposes as they do not suspect any unlawful activity .
