This section of FBI file 62-HQ-83894 on flying discs collects 1947 FBI memoranda, teletypes and Army Air Forces intelligence papers. It includes F. M. Johnson's report of discs near Mt. Adams on June 24, 1947, the Maury Island claims of Harold Dahl and Fred Crisman, the fatal B-25 crash at Kelso, Washington that killed investigators Davidson and Brown, MIT findings that New Hampshire fragments were ordinary cast iron, and A. C. Urie's Twin Falls sighting. It ends with the Bureau discontinuing its disc investigations.

TRAVELI NG AT LEAST THREE TIMES FASTER THAN A PLAN . BRUMMETT ADDED THAT
WATCHED THE OBJECTS FROM FI VE TO EIGHT SECONDS AT WHI CH TIME THEY
DISAPPEARED FROM SIGHT. ACCORDING TO BRUMMETT THE OBJECTS WERE DESCRIBED
BEING NOISELESS, HAVI NG NO WINGS OR TAIL , LIGHTER THAN ALUMINUM,
TAPERED AT BOTH ENDS AND ONE STAYED A LITTLE BEHIND AND A BIT ABOVE THE
OTHER AND BOTH MAINTA I ND EQUAL RATES OF SPEED. FROM BRUMMETTS OBSERVATIO
WAS UNABLE TO DECI DE WHETHER THE OBJECTS WERE FLAT OR ROUND . MRS
MAMI~ LISH STATED THAT WHEN BRUMMETT CALLED HER ATENTION TO THE
OBJECTS SHE TOOK A PASSI NG GLANCE AT THE SKY AND COULD OFFER NO
DESCR I PTI ON OTHER THAN THEY LOOKED LIKE TWO SI LVER BALLS TRAVELING
AT A FAST RATE OF SPEED .
