This Department of War release reproduces Project Blue Book records on the Tremonton, Utah film of 2 July 1952. In them, Navy Chief Photographer Delbert C. Newhouse explains how he filmed a group of bright objects near Tremonton. ATIC memos and a December 1952 travel report record Navy and General Mills balloon specialists judging that the objects closely resembled pillow balloons. A January 1953 memorandum discusses publicly releasing the film. The file also includes unrelated sighting reports from Phoenix and Massachusetts, plus material about Donald Keyhoe.

It is advised that this Center bas never had possession of the original film and does not have in:formation concerning its whereabouts. However, it is suggested that Major Fourney, an AF Special Investigator who was formerly stationed in this area, be contacted regarding this matter. Major Fourney at one time advised that the original "Would be made available to this Center for spectrophotometric analysis. This analysis never materialized, theref'o:rt. the original 'Was not requested. 3. This Center is presently holding one 16mm color film copy which was received f'rom the Air Force. In addition, 35m col.or positive and 35mm black and white negative duplicate blowups are held. 4. Reference (a) referred to the original. film as being 35mm.
