This is the Department of Defense's final response to John Greenewald Jr.'s FOIA request 22-F-0035, dated August 5, 2025. It releases 106 pages from the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review, with some material withheld under exemptions (b)(4), (b)(5) and (b)(6). The pages cover the 2020 to 2021 security review of James Lacatski's manuscript "Skinwalkers at the Pentagon: Correcting the Record," about DIA's AAWSAP program. The records include DIA, Air Force and DHS reviews, and the manuscript was cleared as amended in May 2021.

Hi Kelly,
Thanks for answering. How concerned are you that these two components are never going to respond? Considering that
we are entering the holiday season and use-or-lose for excess leave, responses probably will not come in until after New
Year's. That will be at the 10 month point after original submission of the manuscript. Is there any way to get a firm
response on whether they actually intend to reply, or are they ignoring DOPSR and hoping the issue will just go away?
What are the options if they never respond?

Sorry for the late response. Unfortunately, I still have two components who are reviewing the manuscript. The responses
coming back from components has been slow. Most components are on partial office manning and some have had to go
