This is the Department of Defense's final response to John Greenewald Jr.'s FOIA request 22-F-0035, dated August 5, 2025. It releases 106 pages from the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review, with some material withheld under exemptions (b)(4), (b)(5) and (b)(6). The pages cover the 2020 to 2021 security review of James Lacatski's manuscript "Skinwalkers at the Pentagon: Correcting the Record," about DIA's AAWSAP program. The records include DIA, Air Force and DHS reviews, and the manuscript was cleared as amended in May 2021.

Almost another four weeks has gone by. On 10 May, we will be at the fourteen month point in this review. I really need to move forward with sending the book to the editor. Our intent is to self-publish through Amazon. You have previously stated that so far, there were no concerns with the book so you didn't have a review determination to share. Therefore, on the copyright page, I suggest adding a statement such as " Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review (DOPSR), Case 20-SB-0058, submitted 10 March 2020 for public release authorization " and give the book to the editor. Since the editor and formater will directly work for me, this allows for some additional time before turning the book over to Amazon. I can still make minor changes in the text and change the DOPSR statement to completed. We can't let what may very well be one person hold up publication any longer.
