This is the Department of Defense's final response to John Greenewald Jr.'s FOIA request 22-F-0035, dated August 5, 2025. It releases 106 pages from the Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review, with some material withheld under exemptions (b)(4), (b)(5) and (b)(6). The pages cover the 2020 to 2021 security review of James Lacatski's manuscript "Skinwalkers at the Pentagon: Correcting the Record," about DIA's AAWSAP program. The records include DIA, Air Force and DHS reviews, and the manuscript was cleared as amended in May 2021.

The manuscript is still under review by the components. One component has returned their review and the other two are still outstanding. I'm coordinating with both outstanding reviewers to get an estimated completion on their review. Their reviewers are not in the office full-time because of the pandemic so reviews are taking longer than normal. Thanks.
