He has written a book using his calculations to support a startling theory that "aucers" are establishing an intricate grid system.

"I found that verified sightings in a number of particular cases four years

age, for instance, indicated that they had all been sightings of the same object.

"Working on that assumption I fixed its line of travel and extended the line north.

"I found it exactly intersected the point where I had made my Kalpana Harbour observation a year later.

"Extending the line south gave an intersection over the D'Urville Island area — this time crossing the line of travel of an object which had been seen over the Wairarapa.

"Significantly, I found that other verified reports made at the same time as the Warrarapa sightings had placed an object exploding in midair over the same D'Urville Island area."

Captain Cathie said these intersections gave him the basis of his theory — by matching up other verified sightings he found that a grid pattern of precise measurement emerged.

"It could be that they are being rebuilt.

Captain Cathie believes the grids may have existed once before on the world's surface.

"We expect it will cause quite a stir," he said.
