This Defense Intelligence Agency release gathers Army and Air Force intelligence reports on unidentified flying objects from several countries. It contains translated Finnish Border Guard reports of glowing spheres and lights seen near the Soviet border, a Costa Rica sighting near Puntarenas, and Afghan news items from 1959 on bright objects over Kandahar, Mazar-i-Sharif and Kabul. Other reports describe objects over Kuldja in Sinkiang, China. A 1969 OSI report from Nakhon Phanom, Thailand concludes that a pilot's ground sighting was probably a religious procession carrying ceremonial drums.

21303742 Copy No... 2017 SI, 2969 Date: 31 Oct 59 CHINA (Sinkiang) - AIR ACTIVITY SOURCE: The former residents of BULDA Lon: W. 21d Aeronautical Chart (1:1,000,000) Snust 329 (First Edition - No: 45) 1. mountain sworn for mislying instruments oct 21 A resident of NILDJA had heard from the natives of NILKI (43°47'N, 67°29'E) that in oct. 30 local Kirgiz tribesmen had been requested by the Chinese authorities to search the Kaambusul mountain range some 150 or 160 kilometres in proximity of NILDJA for an object containing instruments which supposedly had landed in that area. The NILKI residents understood that some instruments had been found by the Kirgizzi and nudoc over to the authorities at NILKI. ## 2. Unidentified flame: object part of RIDA 8 : 01 A small run fishing in the Ni, near 20 kilometers west of EULDA, between 9 and 10 o'clock into September evening, in 1954, had been startled by a sudden light in the sky. Upon looking up we had perceived a luminous whirling ball of vapor, wider than in the air to the west of air, leaving a trail of white vapor behind. Although the cloud was luminous itself it did not light up the curved in country side. The cloud and remained visible for two or three minutes, after which it disappeared, leaving in its stead a light which remained a star and which was pulsating. The light had then rived in an east direction into the interior of Sinking and and disappeared from view. The fogman was quite certain that the "cloud" had risen from the south side. If the border, which at this point lay some 20 kilometers to the north, did not discuss this phenomenon with anyone and did not know anything else, soon it. did not utter any uttered no sound, as far as we could judge.
