Dated New Delhi, the. 17th. Feb. 1966.

Dear Col.Mc.Keever,

I am writing to thank you for obtaining for us the information and clarifications sought by us in regard to the wreckage of the space vehicle found in Kotah district of Rajasthan on the 22nd June 1965. The suggestion mentioned, in the message transmitted by you, that the wreckage could be a part of the Titan III-C rocket does not appear to be likely as the estimated diameter of the wreckage is much smaller.

With the help of the two drawings of the wreckage which I handed over to you, during our meeting this afternoon, I hope it would now be possible to make a definite identification of this wreckage. I am looking forward to receiving from you at an early date information on the following which was explained to you in some detail during our personal discussion.

1. Identification of the wreckage along with particulars like date, time of launching etc.

2. Details of provisions for compensating damages, if any, caused to personnel and/or property by such bodies outside the U.S.A.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,
