This Defense Intelligence Agency compilation brings together several Department of Defense intelligence information reports on UFO sightings from 1968 to 1976. It includes 1968 reports of UFOs over South China and the Taiwan Strait, a 1970 South Korean report on possible North Korean balloons, and a table of Spanish sightings from 1973 to 1974 taken from the local press. It also contains a Pakistani report of a light seen before an earthquake and the USDAO Tehran account of F-4 jets losing instruments while chasing a UFO in September 1976.

COAST IN THE PAST TWO MONTHS. ABOUT SIX WEEKS AGO, A BOOM WAS REPORTED OCCURRING OVER THE VICINITY OF BARRINGTON, NOVA SCOTIA. A CORRELATION OF THIS EVENT TO THE FLIGHT SCHEDULE OF THE CONCORDE, WHICH FLIES IN ITS NORMAL TRANSIT JUST OFF THE SOUTHERN TIP OF NOVA SCOTIA, WAS MADE BY THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION (MOT). THERE WAS SOME CORRELATION AS TO TIME, BUT THE RESULTS WERE NOT CONCLUSIVE. MOT IS CONTINUING THEIR INVESTIGATION. THE ATMOSPHERIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE IS SEEKING ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE BELLE ISLE EVENT, INCLUDING MORE DETAILED WEATHER INFORMATION. IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED THAT THERE WAS NO THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IN THAT AREA AT THE TIME BUT THAT IT WAS SNOWING. THE IMPRESSIONS OR HOLES IN THE GROUND HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED TO BE TWO FEET IN DIAMETER AND ABOUT TWO FEET DEEP. SOME TREES WERE SCORCHED IN THIS VICINITY. THERE IS SOME THDUGHT BEING GIVEN TO THE POSSIBILITY OF A METEORITE ENTRY. ONE SOURCE EXPLAINS "THAT THESE EXPLOSIONS ARE CAUSED BY THE VOLATILITY OF THE AIR ITSELF WITH WHICH THERE IS ASSOCIATED AN ELECTRICAL PHENOMENON.
