relative to a sighting at 3 a.m., 7 January 1968.

She reported that the object she saw was orange in colour with a blue tinge on the bottom which resembled a series of exhausts coming from the bottom of the object. The object appeared to be approximately the size of the sun, but of course not as bright. The object moved in from the north, slowed and stopped, hoovered for approximately an hour and a half over what would be, from her observation point, the Cornwallis River. She reported that it at times gave off "balls" of fire from the bottom part of it, which resembled what one might see from the exhaust of an engine when the carbon would be well burned and you would get a blue flame. Eventually, the object turned and came towards their house, at which time Mrs. Forbes headed for bed. She was asked why she did not call her husband to see this, but her answer was that it would probably have disappeared by the time he got there and he would have been somewhat annoyed at being disturbed. There were reflections on the windows and blue flashes from this object, with these so-called "star balls" falling from the bottom. She heard nothing and was and was, by her own admission, too scared to open the door to view it from that point. At one time she thought it might have the appearance of disintegrating, but it did not. These were the times, I presume, when there would be spurts of balls of fire falling "from underneath". All in all, a remarkable experience. I am attaching a copy of the rough notes I made on it when she phoned this sighting in.
