This Internet Archive item compiles 1965 to 1968 records from National Research Council of Canada files (RG 77, Vol. 306) on non-meteoritic sightings. It contains fireball and UFO telex reports from RCAF stations, RCC Vancouver and the RCMP, covering lights seen over Sydney, Vancouver, Cochrane, Toronto, Whitehorse and Shediac. It also includes an RCMP investigation of a 12 July 1968 impact at Tobin Road, Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, which concluded the object was probably a meteorite, not a UFO.

## Dear Sir:
Attached is one copy of an R.C.A.F. Air Force Police report dated January 31st, 1967 concerning an unidentified falling object which fell in the Val d'Or, P.Q. area on January 27th, 1967. It is understood that a message reporting this incident was forwarded to you on January 30th, 1967.
As of this date the entry hole in the ice is still identified by a wooden marker. May it be noted that the temperature at the time of impact, and for the remainder of the night, was $ - 2 5^{\circ} $ . The hole, when examined by Mr. Gauthier, had diminished by freezing to 12 to 15 inches in diameter. When eventually located, some twelve hours later, the hole had diminished further to about 8 inches in diameter.
Val d'Or authorities report that to date no further examination of the area has been made by any agency.
