This compilation of Project Blue Book microfilm pages from Roll 92 covers the reported UFO sighting near Levelland, Texas, on the night of 2 to 3 November 1957. It includes a letter from the Air Force Office of Special Investigations district office at Carswell AFB, which says Reese AFB reported the event and that ADC investigator S/Sgt Norman P. Barth looked into it for ATIC. OSI opened no investigation of its own. A teletype message describes a fiery object that sounded like thunder and landed in an open field.

Hq, 23d Dist OSI (IG) USAF, Carswell AFB, Texas, file 23D 24-0-246, Subject: UNKNOWN SUBJECT(S): Reported Sighting of Unidentified Flying Object in Vicinity of Levelland, Texas, night of 2-3 November 1957 On 4 November 1957, S/Sgt NORMAN P. BARTH, UFO Investigator, ADC, Ent AFB, Colorado, arrived in Lubbock, Texas, by commercial airline and immediately initiated an investigation for ATIC. BARTH completed his investigation on 6 November 1957 and returned to his home station to complete and disseminate a report of his findings. 3. Inasmuch as no request was received, this office did not initiate an investigation into the report of citing. The investigator from ADC advised that in the event it was determined that additional investigation was deemed warranted, this office would be contacted for assistance. JOHN W.
