This Central Intelligence Agency memorandum, dated 26 January 1965 and released in 2001, was sent by Donald F. Chamberlain, Assistant Director for Scientific Intelligence, to the Director of Central Intelligence. It reviews recent UFO reports, including incidents at Sunnyvale, California, the Gemini launch and Patuxent, Maryland, and finds no evidence that UFOs are of foreign origin or a threat to United States security. The Office of Scientific Intelligence concurs with the Air Force conclusions. Air Force statistics for 1954 to 1964 are attached.
