This is a Central Intelligence Agency memorandum dated 16 December 1953, approved for release in 2001, sent to the Chief, Operations Staff, O/SI. It says overall substantive responsibility for flying saucers has been given to the Physics and Electronics Division, with action responsibility inside that division assigned to the Operations Staff. It directs that any matter concerning flying saucers be coordinated with a named officer or, in that officer's absence, an alternate. Both names are redacted. The memo is a short administrative routing notice.
