This Central Intelligence Agency information report, distributed 5 March 1957 and approved for release in sanitized form on 1 July 2010, collects twelve attachments on the Soviet port of Kherson in the Ukrainian SSR. The attachments hold sketches, photographs and observations of cranes, wharf repairs, shipyards building tankers, fuel tanks, a radar station on Nikolayev Island and a nearby airfield. They also report Kherson-built fishing boats with HIGH SIEVE type radar seen at Djibouti on their way to Vladivostok. The report has nothing to do with UFOs.

## GENERAL INFOREL TION ## 1. O. C. ANIZATION. A. On the end of the mole of this area, where ships dock to load and unload, a group of laborers engaged in paving the mole with cement. York, that has began at the SILO area, has already reached the angle used by small ships making local trips (point a).- B. Area of shipyards, where an approx. 6.000-ton tanker was seen being built on sliding board b. The timbers of another smaller ship being built were seen on sliding board c. No vessel was there seen on sliding board c.- C. In this position and in the little gulf (point C') formed there about 700 meters long and 250 meters wide a bridge about 20-30 meters long, which must be rather a lockgate similar to those of the Piraeus dry-docks. In the back of the little gulf and towards the side of the bridge, an approx. 6.000-ton, brand new tanker, had been launched from the shipyards.
