This Central Intelligence Agency information report, distributed 5 March 1957 and approved for release in sanitized form on 1 July 2010, collects twelve attachments on the Soviet port of Kherson in the Ukrainian SSR. The attachments hold sketches, photographs and observations of cranes, wharf repairs, shipyards building tankers, fuel tanks, a radar station on Nikolayev Island and a nearby airfield. They also report Kherson-built fishing boats with HIGH SIEVE type radar seen at Djibouti on their way to Vladivostok. The report has nothing to do with UFOs.

V. THE NIKOLAEV ISLAND.
were observed:
a. - A light-house.
b. - A radar
c.- A sentry post of the light-house.
d.- An out of order light-house.
e.- Two sentry posts.
f.- A small, built breakwater.
g.- A meteorology station (a wind indicator, a baloon).
h.- Five concrete warehouses. These were low buildings, standing at two meters' height from the ground.
i.- A radar - not operating - the pole of which was $ 2^{\frac{1}{2}}-3 $ meters in height.
j.- A round pill-box. Its height, as well as its diameter, is about 4 meters. This has a loophole in the direction of the light-house.-
