This Central Intelligence Agency information report, distributed 5 March 1957 and approved for release in sanitized form on 1 July 2010, collects twelve attachments on the Soviet port of Kherson in the Ukrainian SSR. The attachments hold sketches, photographs and observations of cranes, wharf repairs, shipyards building tankers, fuel tanks, a radar station on Nikolayev Island and a nearby airfield. They also report Kherson-built fishing boats with HIGH SIEVE type radar seen at Djibouti on their way to Vladivostok. The report has nothing to do with UFOs.

DRAWING SUEMITTED. ## I. ORGANIZATION. The paving with concrete of the pier used for loading and unloading, has not as yet been finished. 25X1 Only part of the mole, viz. from the SILO area up to the first warehouse inclusive (points a - b) is done. the surface of the finished part of the pier, is being covered by flat concrete blocks having rings at the four corners. These rings are to help remove the blocks, in order to have electric cables installed under them, in the small tunnel built there during the reconstruction of the mole. 25X1 there are 6 cranes of approx. 5 tons in hoisting power, on this pier. These cranes are installed on iron rails and can travel from point c to point d. 25X1 observed two ships being on the sliding boards of the shipyards. These were ready to be launched into the sea. 25X1 ## II. MEANS OF NAVIGATION.
