This Central Intelligence Agency memorandum for the record, written by the Chief of NPIC's Technical Intelligence Division, describes a 5 May 1967 briefing for Dr. Edward Condon and colleagues on NPIC's analysis of the Zanesville, Ohio, UFO photographs. Condon called it the first scientific UFO analysis that would stand up to investigation. The group discussed moving future analysis to University of Colorado control, reviewing NICAP's photo files, and giving Polaroid cameras to police officers and pilots.

SUBJECT: UFO Briefing for Dr. Edward Condon, 5 May 1967 all the photography in NICAP files, and was now depending on the American public to furnish him new photography. Also discussed was the possibility of making available to police officers, on military posts, airline pilots, and such people, polaroid cameras for instant use. No conclusions were arrived at, but some interesting thoughts were tabled. It was, however, felt by all that more publicity was needed. 4. report on his analysis of the Zanesville 50X1 photography will be forwarded to in the near future 50X1 for distribution to Dr. Hatchford and Dr. Condon.
