This is a secret CIA dispatch dated December 1965, released under the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act. It passes Berlin Document Center record requests from a source called CASTROP. The requests concern the SIPO and SD Operational Group with the 14th Army, which operated in Poland in September 1939 under Udo von Woyrsch. The dispatch lists members of a Special SIPO Detachment drawn from police officer schools and asks where they served afterward, in support of war crimes investigations. It also notes Munich file traces on some of the individuals.

B, the following additional information is provided, the involvement of the student body of the Police Offleeru Schools at Berlin/Carrlettenburg and Fuerstenberg/Nocalenburg in SIPO and SD operations in Poland in September 1955 has been provided by alias CASTROP: 30 a. The operational group engaged at the outbreak of the war in Poland in September 1959 was the so-called BIFO and SD Operational Group with the 14th Army (Klinatxgruppe s.b.V. der Polizal und SD bei war 14 Armee). b. This operational group was commanded by the SS-Obergruppenfuehrer Otto von MOTSCH (born 24 July 1855 in Bohmannutz), and was activated on 3 September 1939. It was composed of four battalions of Ordnungspolizei under the command of the BIFO Colonel, Dr. OLHERTEN and a 750-man Special BIFO Detachment under SS Oderfuehrer, Dr. Otto BASCH (born on 7 December 1851 in Friedrichshuhl). The Special BIFO Detachment was recruited from the student body of the Police Officer School in Berlin/Chariottenburg, whose commanding officer was Brigadefuehrer Otto HILL, ID (born on 24 February 1854 in Nordhausen) as well as from the student body of the Nürstenburg/Necklentburg Police School, whose commanding officer was one SS-Oberfuehrer THOMMER. HELLID's Deputy at the time was Kriminalrat SKINDCHE (born on 7 June 1906 in Bam or on 14 February 1906 in Appartal).
