This Central Intelligence Agency file, released under the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act, gathers biographical index cards on Albanian Communist leader Enver Hoxha. The entries cover the years 1943 to 1954. They record his roles as Prime Minister, Commander in Chief and party Secretary-General, his trips to Moscow and his relations with Tito and Yugoslavia. They also note rumored rifts with Mehmet Shehu and Tuk Jakova, the 1951 Tirana bombing, and his giving up the premiership in July 1954. The file contains no UFO material.

He resigned from his teaching job in 1940 to open a book and stationery store in Tirana. From his station- C-3 cry store. Subject directed "anarchist" activity. After the German attack on the Soviet Union, the various bands of Albanian Commu- nists (because there was no Party then) united under the leadership of two Yugoslav Communists assigned to them-by the Communist Party of Yugoslavia. The names of the Yugoslays were WIGAN and MILIADIN. The leadership of the Party thus formed was temporarily assigned to Enver ROM, and this was definitely confirmed at the first Plenary Congress in October, 1941 in Liembinoti (Elbasan). On 24 May 1944. the Meeting of the Supreme Council of the National Liberation Front. held in Premeti, appointed Subject President of the first • provisional Government and Commander-in-Chief of the National Liberation Army.
