This Central Intelligence Agency dispatch from the Chief of Base, Munich, dated 2 May 1960, forwards reports by a source called AEDOGMA-1 on the October 1959 cyanide death of Ukrainian nationalist leader Stefan Bandera. The attachments review five theories: poisoning by German intelligence, by Soviet agents, by Myron Matviyeyko, by Mykola Lebed, or suicide. They also describe interviews with Munich criminal police officer Adrian Fuchs, who said the police were convinced Bandera committed suicide. The document has no UFO content.

I think that the German commission which is Composed of :yrofeesional individuals mill come to the same conclusion, even thaUgh all the inforaation that was available to me will not be available to , them. It was not in the KGB interest to have Bandera liquidated at this time. On the contrary, Bendera'a death inter- fered with KGB plans for compromising the Zch/OUB: The KGB was successful in getting Bander& to postpone the Zah/OUN conference and plan for a big congress of the Zch/OUG in 1960. A. mmlor group of OCN members from the Ukraine headed by Myron Matviyeyho were supposed to arrive for this congress. Only part of this group (about 15 individuals) were supposed to return to the Ukraine. The others including MyronMetviyeYko"were to remain in the West. Whether or not, in view of the latest development, the KGB will be able to continue its game of sending alelegation from the Ukraine to a congress is difficult to foresee.'
