This declassified Central Intelligence Agency cable from Pullach, dated 27 October 1957, was released under the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act. It says UPSWING found no derogatory traces on the Deutsche Indische Studiengesellschaft, which was founded in Stuttgart in January 1951. Sources believe the vice president and treasurer of its Berlin branch, Werner Glasenapp among them, are Eastern agents. It also reports that Glasenapp offered to recruit for the Federal Republic, and it asks Berlin for advice. The cable has no connection to unidentified flying objects.
