This Central Intelligence Agency file is a compilation of Top Secret Director's Log entries from September and December 1951. The entries are daily reports from CIA offices such as OSO, OPC and OO on covert operations and intelligence matters. They cover leaflet drops over mainland China, agent teams sent into Albania and Bulgaria, plans for defector detention centers in Panama, liaison with British, French and Spanish services, and the opening of the Trotsky papers at Harvard. None of the entries mentions UFOs.

The opportunity to reproduce these records arose when State Security placed them in OSO hands for safekeeping during the recent official investigation of its Charleroi office. Robert N. Carew-Hunt, Counterespionage and Communism Section, British Secret Ser-ice, has discussed with OSO officers the extent to which each Service has covered Soviet and Inter- national Communism. An exchange of studies in this field has been agreed to. OPC A leaflet drop of 25,000 news bulletins was made on 12 October on the city.of Tung-An, in :the Fukien Province.
