This Central Intelligence Agency file is a compilation of Top Secret Director's Log entries from September and December 1951. The entries are daily reports from CIA offices such as OSO, OPC and OO on covert operations and intelligence matters. They cover leaflet drops over mainland China, agent teams sent into Albania and Bulgaria, plans for defector detention centers in Panama, liaison with British, French and Spanish services, and the opening of the Trotsky papers at Harvard. None of the entries mentions UFOs.
TOP SECRET DIRECTOR'S LOG TF DATE 8:30 AM, 1 Nov. - 8:30 AM, 2 Nov. CUMENT RECEIVED FROM TO SUBJECT . ACTION OSO (Contfd) has reported the above situation to Washington in detail and has requested that Headquarters undertake a review of our Hong Kong liaison arrangemdnts with the British in order to protedt our intelligence assets. Such a review is in progress and recommendations will be made for the handling of this situation. OPC A mob of 300 East German laborers is reported to have stormed a jail in Saxony and freed two fellow workers. The move was without obvious political overtones but oneof the workers freed and the chief of the jail, who ordered the release ostensibly to prevent bloodshed, are both secret members of the CIA- sponsored League of Freedom-Loving Lawyers. MISCELLANEOUS Alexandra and Ilia Tolstoy and Boris Sergievsky have requested appointment with Secly of Defense to discuss anew developments in Russian situation".
