This Central Intelligence Agency personality (201) dossier on Sandelio Herminio Diaz Garcia holds material dated from November 1956 to August 1975 and was approved for release in 2025. It contains 1966 intelligence cables on a 29 May 1966 exile infiltration attempt near Havana, in which Diaz was reported killed while trying to assassinate Fidel Castro. It also includes a report on cancelled assassination plans, 1973 traces linking a Herminio Diaz to narcotics trafficking, and FBI file listings. The dossier contains no UFO material.

# 64684 23 October 1963 Page 3 Iden C stated that Subject came carrying a message to Carlos PRIO Socarras from Iden I. LCFLUTTER indicates that Subject did not come for Iden I. Subject stated that Iden I is not currently active in any clandestine work or planning. Iden C stated that he had the impression that Subject was detained by G-2 for about three weeks in or around March 1962. LCFLUTTER indicates that Subject was not arrested during that period. For no particular reason, the examiner asked Subject if he had any affiliation with the Armed Forces of National Liberation (Fuerzas Armadas de Liberacion Nacional - FALN). LCFLUTTER indicates that he has no connection with that organization. COMMENT: Although LCFLUTTER indicates that Subject was not sent by any intelligence service, enough interesting points appear in his file that he remains of some interest to the examiner. It is suggested that prior to taking any actions which could seriously jeopardize ODYOKE interests, based on information from this Subject, that he be reFLUTTERed. Any significant information which CI might encounter in the interim will be useful during future testing in guiding the examiner to areas which might not have been given sufficient attention during the first series of interviews.
