This Central Intelligence Agency personality (201) dossier on Sandelio Herminio Diaz Garcia holds material dated from November 1956 to August 1975 and was approved for release in 2025. It contains 1966 intelligence cables on a 29 May 1966 exile infiltration attempt near Havana, in which Diaz was reported killed while trying to assassinate Fidel Castro. It also includes a report on cancelled assassination plans, 1973 traces linking a Herminio Diaz to narcotics trafficking, and FBI file listings. The dossier contains no UFO material.

In connection with AMEIJEIRAS' alleged anti-Communist activities, Subject said a close watch is maintained by AMEIJEIRAS and his followers on all Communist members of the GOC including AMTHUG/1 and Ramiro VALDES. Subject said his specific function on behalf of AMEIJEIRAS' "organization" was to keep track of AMTHUG/1's activities and movements in the city of Havana. Subject was charged with the responsibility of reporting on all of AMTHUG/1's movements and whereabouts, which he said were reported regularly to AMEIJEIRAS. The same was true, according to Subject, regarding other GOC functionaries in whom AMEIJEIRAS maintained an interest. Subject was not able to say what the specific responsibilities of the other AMEIJEIRAS-led conspirators were, but he was certain that each one of them had a certain job to do and that not all of them were performing tasks similar to his. Subject could not elaborate further on this point but added that AMEIJEIRAS maintains files on the activities and movements on all Communist and non-Communist GOC functionaries outside his group. AMEIJEIRAS' informants allegedly cover the entire island of Cuba. Subject was not able to say if AMEIJEIRAS' alleged net of informants is restricted to the Cuban Army or if it includes elements outside the military and/or the ruling elements of the government. 19. Paragraph 3.C. of WAVE-4580 reported that Subject had brought messages from Cuba for Carlos PRIO Socarras from a Jose (Pepe) de Jesus*JINHAUME. Subject's denial of this was confirmed in the second LCFLUTTER conducted on 19 October 1963. Subject said JINHAUME is not currently active in any clandestine work of planning in connection with AMEIJEIRAS or any other counterrevolutionary group within Cuba.
