This Central Intelligence Agency personality (201) dossier on Sandelio Herminio Diaz Garcia holds material dated from November 1956 to August 1975 and was approved for release in 2025. It contains 1966 intelligence cables on a 29 May 1966 exile infiltration attempt near Havana, in which Diaz was reported killed while trying to assassinate Fidel Castro. It also includes a report on cancelled assassination plans, 1973 traces linking a Herminio Diaz to narcotics trafficking, and FBI file listings. The dossier contains no UFO material.

DIARIO LAS AMERICAS 8 MAR HEADLINED 5 MAR PRESS CONFERENCE BY ORLANDO BOSCH AVILA OF MIRR. BOSCH DISCLOSED PRESENCE OF 24 SAM AND FOUR MEDIUM-RANGE MISSILE BASES IN PINAR DEL RIO PROVINCE AND SAID MEDIUM-RANGE BASES EQUIPPED WITH TOTAL 17 SOVIET-MADE MISSILES WHICH SHIPPED THROUGH PORT OF MARIEL. BOSCH SAID HE OBTAINED HIS INFORMATION FROM AGENTS OF MILITARY ESPIONAGE SERVICE OF MIRR, SOME OF WHOM ALLEGEDLY HAVE INFILTRATED CUBAN ARMED FORCES. (WAVE COMMENT: SEE WAVE 9485 ITEM I.B.)
