This Central Intelligence Agency personality (201) dossier on Sandelio Herminio Diaz Garcia holds material dated from November 1956 to August 1975 and was approved for release in 2025. It contains 1966 intelligence cables on a 29 May 1966 exile infiltration attempt near Havana, in which Diaz was reported killed while trying to assassinate Fidel Castro. It also includes a report on cancelled assassination plans, 1973 traces linking a Herminio Diaz to narcotics trafficking, and FBI file listings. The dossier contains no UFO material.

BROADCAST TWO INFILTRATOR WERE KILLED, THE EMIGRE BOAT WITH FOUR MEN ABOARD WAS DESTROYED, TWO WOUNDED SURVIVORS WERE RESCUED FROM THE SEA BY CUBAN FORCES AND THE TWO OTHER MEN WERE BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN KILLED IN THE EXPLOSION OF THE BOAT. 3. TWO BOATS WERE INVOLVED IN THE OPERATION: THE F-8477-F, A 30-FOOT BOAT WHICH WENT INTO THE SHORE WIH THE SIX MEN ABOARD, WAS THE BOAT DESTROYED BY THE CUBAN FORCES.
