This is a compilation of Department of State Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR) briefing notes to the Director of INR, mostly dated June 12, 1968, with some from June 6, 1968. The notes cover world events, including student riots in Paris, East German passport and visa rules for West Germans, a UN resolution on South West Africa, a change of Komsomol leadership, Sino-Nepalese relations, and the Colombian presidential resignation crisis. Unrest in Senegal and Somalia is also covered. None of the notes discuss UFOs.

FRI 85 June 6 (Radio Rossow in English June 6); Rostore June 6 UNCL Koygkin sent a telegram to Ethel Kennedy saying the shooting "avokes a profound sealing of indignation among the Soviet people." The Chairman of the Supreme Soviet's two chambers sent telegrams to UP Empire. FRI 89 June 6 (German domestic ADU June 6); Rosters June 6 UNCL Ulbrich sent a telegram of sympathy to Ethel Kennedy, saying RFI "has become a victim of those powerful extremist extremists which/&force their anti-humanistic and anti-democratic objectives are increasingly murdering their political adversaries." Rostore 31 372 June 6 COHP Polish Ambassador to the US Michalovski said June 6 to an inquiry officer he believed RFI had been "a amused man because he knew who killed his brother." The Rostore supports that Polish propaganda may claim the assassin was paid by Jem, in view of Poland's current anti-conflict campaign.
